Dusty is the dnd character I play in parties that need more of a physical component. He is a fighter dwarf. He is a grumpy man who has lost a lot of friends and loved ones in battle. Because of this, he is very averse to starting a fight, but once one is started he will absolutely end it. In battle, he would die to protect the people he fights alongside. He will never leave a friend behind. The problem is, he can allow his anger and fear to blind him in battle.
Dusty was raised in a mountain dwarf village. He grew up hearing about the Drow and how they had nearly wiped out his clan a long time ago. This led him to desperately want to become a soldier, he had a desire to protect his village and those he cared about. He worked his way up the ranks until he became the leader of a smaller squadron. In one of his early battles against a group of Drow elves, he suffered injuries to his leg. Because of this, he was overtaken by the enemy. The Drow left him with with a deep slash on his face before his squadron were able to get him out. He is still deeply ashamed of his injuries and the genuine terror he felt. This led him to leave his village, desperate to restore his standing. He keeps this a secret from all who didn't already know, claiming the bad scarring is from a bad mishap at the forge.
